Aviation & Climate Change, the truth is out there....

We are very excited to have just published the final version of our review of aviation and climate change research. Supported by the Royal Aeronautical Society's Greener by Design group, the report aims to provide a single source of information on the current science around this highly topical subject.

Welcome to Aeronautics & Astronautics @ Southampton

It's that exciting time of year again, when 100 new undergraduates start out on their careers as airplane designers and rocket scientists. New freshers for our Aeronautics & Astronautics and Spacecraft Systems Engineering courses are settling into life at university.
Our induction week was a blast, with the students working in teams to design, build, test and fly gliders. Congratulations to team easyGlide for being overall winners. They had a great flying glider, as well as being technically superb and producing a fantastic poster.
Well done to everyone, who really worked hard to produce some great designs. In the net three or four years these students will develop into tomorrow's engineers, to join our illustrious alumni working across the engineering industry.
